Especially then. E3 didn't get the fame it has because it was a series of digital events.

No, it got it because it was the source of roughly half the industry's news during the print magazine era.

And then came the internet...

And somehow you know this, but giant corporations like EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft and Sony have all missed out on this knowledge.

Around the Network

yeah, it was flawless, anyone that experienced issues would not have been Nintendo's fault

That is your opinion and there is nothing wrong with it. Most gamers don't share it however. Digital events are nothing to write home about.

No! It's fact! You understand me?! A GODDAMN FACT!!!

...

Anyways, who are you to speak for "most" gamers?

Hell, even GAF, who shat on Nintendo's E3 plans are praising the Digital Event + Treehouse format.

Conference may be better for the press and those in attendance but D.E. + Treehouse is better for internet streamers.  The internet is here, and has been for a long time. Time to make the way information is presented at E3 better.

I'm willing to bet Sony/MS will go down this path soon.

How adorable, you think you have perspective and an incisive point!

I'm not fussed though. You'll be happy with the digital approach in five years, when your favorite company is doing it too.

Your condescending attitude speaks volumes of your weak arguments which you are trying to strengthen in this primitive way. By all means, knock yourself out.

That would be a losing bet. Nintendo went digital because it's audience has shrunk considerably thanks to the WiiU. Should they ever have a successful console, they would be right back on the stage.

You've got me there. It's why I also lose arguments with Flat Earthers and creationists.

Please have mercy on me, for I concede the point and am already really bored with this

That doesn't even make sense.

How do you come to the conclusion that Wii U's sales have anything to do with their change in E3 presentation?

It has the pros of a prerecorded video (great presentation, and multiple attempts to correct any awkwardness/problems/transistions), but the cons of live audiences and overall number of watchers.

This went exactly as expected.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I prefer a live audience, but this was really good.
