Is the PS4 & PS TV Bundle a good idea or bad idea?

Good Idea 21 70.00%

Bad Idea 8 26.67%

Total:29

Seeing how the PS TV is only $99 retail and could work with the HDMI Cable and DS4.

PS TV could be bundled with PS4 and advertised to be able to extend the PS4 to a second room, be easy to take to a friend's house and remote PS4/Netflix/Youtube on any TV, and most of all of being able to play more games than the PS4 alone: i.e. PS Vita, PS1, PSP, PSP minis, PSN, PSM, and PS Now games (over 1000 games that the PS4 can't play not counting PS Now).

They could even make the bundle a nice price: $449

Good idea or bad idea?

Who wants to bet that that measly 8GB memory card is proprietary and will cost 100$ for anything of even remote size and worth?

umm the same cards game and blank memory cards that fit in a standard PSVita will also work in a PSVita TV so you can take an already old PSVita Memory card you may have and use it inside the PSVita TV, and yes i would say expect the PS4+PSVita TV bundle for $499.00

Although the memory card price is still a barrier for a lot of people, I think this is a good deal for 99 bucks or 140 if you get the bundle. I'll certainly be buying this.

It was a joke. The proprietary nonsense is part of what hampers adoption of the Vita. The TV is not going to escape the same issues (on top of the other issues like reality vs. advertising wifi magic). People don't just see the upfront price as a barrier to entry, they also look at other issues like upkeep costs.

I honestly don't really see the point of this thing. Why would I want to play mobile games on a TV? Why would I even remotely believe that the streaming won't be utter crap when walls and, you know, those pesky materials that make up our homes that already quickly attenuate wifi?

Q: Why would I want to play mobile games on a TV?

A : you are not just playing Mobile games on this thing if you have a PS4 and now with playstation Now! also the output resolution for the Playstation TV is 1080i so its not quite the same thing as just "playing a mobile game on a TV" playing smartphone and Tablets games on a TV works also if you are using say a mogapro game pad hooking up a smartphone or taablet to the tv and play GTA:SA has the same feel and experience as if you were playing it on a livingroom console. if you have not tryed that you may want to try it out to see what its like.

Q: Why would I even remotely believe that the streaming won't be utter crap when walls and, you know, those pesky materials that make up our homes that already quickly attenuate wifi?

A: Because you do not  even have to be on the internet to stream games to the PSVita TV from a PS4 , and even over the internet its been proven to work in real time consumer use already

All bundles are good ideas. It's not like Sony is forcing bundles on people so it's nice to have a choice.
