Forums - Gaming - you guys are ridiculous

I have to admit that I was disappointed by both the Microsoft and the Sony conference.

I watched the Microsoft conference live, and found it to be just plain boring. There was not a single game I was interested in. My expectations were very low anyway, but somehow Microsoft still managed to disappoint me.

But to be honest, my disappointment about the Sony conference was even bigger, as I had high expectations. I was so much hoping for some news/information on Project Morpheus, so it was very disappointing to wake up and read that Project Morpheus was hardly even mentioned.

I was gonna make a post about, people are being ridiculous, crying over Playstation having 19 games and Microsoft having 20, people still have last years press conference in their mind, were they think one side has to be complete humiliated and destroyed. They both showed games Sony showed somethings a little different I didnt mind it still related to games(most of it). I didnt watch Microsofts E3 though i heard it was good and they made up for last year which is good im mainly a Playstation fan but the last thing i want is Microsoft to pull out of consoles. Hopefully people realize that arguing over who one e3 is stupid and benefits no one plus dont forgot about nientendo they could smash both of em :)

i dont see nintendo smashing anyhing this year, for the simple fact that anything that nintendo shows will not be enough to overcame the multiplats that arent coming to nintendo.

dont come with the argument "zelda is bigger than any of the multiplats you mentioned", 1 game cant simply overcome a lot of other good games

Everyone in the SF theater clapped and got really excited in most parts especially LBP3 and UC. LBP3 just made my smile like a little kid before opening presents. It was a fun experience.

i just got back from watching sony's conference at the theatre where everyone was clapping and cheering thoughout the show and left with massive grins on their faces. we saw awesome footage from third pary games like batman, destiny, farcry, mortal kombat, metal gear.  we saw amazing exclusives like little big planet 3, the order 1886, uncharted 4, blood born, entwined, suda's game, the infamous dlc.  some improved old games in grim fandago, ratchet and clank, the last of us.  a neat free show in powers.  a bunch of now doubt awesome games even if they are from small developers like no man's sky, nuclear, bro force, the one from the guys who made journey that are now called giant squid.  ...i'm going from memory here but someone else can probably fill is some of my gaps.

now i didn't catch MS show but i know we got a new tomb raider, an exclusive from platinum, i believe 2-3 good looking indies, forza horizon, and the halo complete collection.  i'm sure i've got even bigger gaps here cause i only caught the headlines so far.

point is this was a hell of a great day. i come back from the show expecting to see lots of excitement and what do i find,.. negativity almost exclusivly.  and why?,. because a game is multiplat? because the trailer was (possibly) gci.  because someone leaked the announcment to the internet and ruined your ability to be surprise?  because old awesome games aren't awsome when remade to be even awesomer? because you can't enjoy a game that has a lable of indie or free to play?

you guys are ridiculous

Absolutely agree. Worst is it's the same shit every year. People expecting the second coming aren't just ridiculous - they're stupid.

Personally I thought MS and Sony both had amazing conferences. Honestly. MS did a really good job at throwing fresh, interesting visuals together with fun gameplay. I thought the breadth of Sony's conference was incredible. Specifically with regards to Sony, "WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT!?"...

Vita support, loadsa Indies of all flavours, PSNow, PSTV, Morpheus, new exclusive IPs, free games, 3rd party games leagues ahead of what we got at this stage last gen.

Admittedly, no TLG left a chill in my stomach. But it was very late in the morning here and I haven't slept properly in 5 days.

There's also Gamescon and TGS.

OP, you're absolutely right. A lot of these people are nuts.

Agreed 1000%!

The negativity is rampant. Both MS and Sony had a great conference. Both did what they needed to do which was show off some upcoming games. And Sony found time between their bookends of great games to announce a new PS4 (that white is pretty sick), PSTV coming to NA, a new made for PS show Powers (which looks awesome) plus there will be more nuggets of info throughout the entire week for both MS and Sony.

I was even for the first time since MS announced the XB1 tempted to run out and get one after the price drop. Probably won't happen, mostly cause my wife would kill me, but still. All in all both went very well.

Just stop with all the whining about how FF35X/42 and Wild Arms 19 daren't being made. You don't see me bashing them because King's Field, Suikoden, or Vandal Hearts aren't getting remade finally after all these years. The new upcoming games look positively great. Many are day one purchases for me. Especially that Sunset Overdrive if I could only get an XB1 though...

Ridiculous or not, a company should not be wasting their conference time showing off third part multiplat games. And that is most of what Sony had to show off.

Both conferences were pretty decent!  Scalebound, Phantom Dust, Halo Collection, Uncharted 4 and LittleBigPlanet 3 were the best announcements in my opinion!

As a Playstation fan I was somewhat let down. I understand that Sony is saving announcements for GamesCon + TGS and they did provide good content but the talking was unbearable especially that half hour segment that went from the Vita to a television series. I wouldn't watch Powers if it were free to be honest. That portion of the conference felt like filler & I'd rather have more indies or first/third party games. One more exclusive announcement would of topped it off IMO.

I'm with you kitler! This E3 has been pretty great so far!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Meh, I still found them disappointing.
