No, I was actually hoping Microsoft would put Sony in a position where they had to bring out extra, to match what Microsoft brought. I don't think that happened in their show, so Sony can simply show a bit of what it has to match or slightly outweigh Microsoft, and save stuff for future shows in later 2014.

Unfortunately you are completely right. Sony has a habit of showing ingame or live gameplay footage. They really should take cues from MS. Throw in a 15sec uncharted 4 cg trailer and call it a day (halo 5). Or show 5mins of driveclub and not show one ingame race (forza horizon). And the order, fuck that, just show us CG.

Well, good for them for showing 90 minutes worth of games. Too bad the selection of games and the standard procession of perennial exclusive franchise will do nothing to endangered PS4's lead.

Although it's a Sony vs MS view on forums like this. Sony still actually need to work to earn PS4 sales, even if their competition does nothing.

There seems to be a belief that 200m people will buy a games console regardless each generation. If there's nothing that makes anyone beyond the core fans want that console, it won't sell, even if it is the market leader.

You only need to look at the quality of both 1st and 3rd party software on the PS2 to realise this.

I was never worried.
