Halo collection was okay, but I don't think it's going to do much in software and hardware sales because Halo 1 HD didn't do much either; in the end, everyone that wanted to play, have already played them.

It was a port of an old game yet it sold better than a lot of AAA games. That's probably worth noting.

Also, a big problem with Halo Anniversary is the multiplayer was just a few maps in Halo: Reach. This collection includes the multiplayer of each Halo. That's huge, this is my most wanted title of 2014.

I don't think either company has a killer exclusive lineup for the rest of this year (though MS gets a tip of the hat for Sunset, looks amazing) so I would grade MS well for playing it smart and instead of focusing on a whole bunch of titles that are 2-3 years away, they brought out some of the many phenomenal looking 3rd party games for this year and threw out some timed exclusive incentive to buy on Xbox One. I think those catching feelings over a big chunk of MP games and loads of CGI are setting themselves up to be disappointed because Sony is going to do the same thing.

I loved their format of games games games and I wonder how much Sony will bog down their show tonight with talk of sales and Vita and Playstation ecosystem. Their structure of 2014 games first then a bunch of future stuff was also nice but I think it might have backfired a bit on them because a majority of that 2015+ stuff was CGI.

Overall I would rate them an 8 on content and a 10 on format so I will give them a 9. Huge Crackdown fan, and Evolve is by far my most anticipated game of the fall, so to see that I can get exclusive beta access and timed exclusive DLC just makes my decision to purchase it on Xbone all the easier.

And then you have Sunset. As I said in the E3 thread, I have a hard time believing that's real time. Blows anything else I have ever seen as a gamer away. Though that might be less on the technical aspects and more about the style of the game. It just looks too amazing to be believable. Hard to imagine Sony or Nintendo having anything that can hit me like Sunset did.

I found the games games games approach solid overall 8/10.

Unfortunately no real surprises for me though.

I rate by what interests me, so while the conference itself was fine there was not a single game that made me think "I want that and cannot get that else where". Scalebound is the one game I am curious about, but have not had the best experience with Monster Hunter to be that excited by that type of game.

So, I would say a 6 out of 10. A solid show that was not poor, but did nothing to get me excited about the plat form.

rather weak show, no real megatons, nothing earth shattering.. i kept waiting and waiting for something big and it just never came

Expecting something earth shattering is an unrealistic expectation. The only thing that could have done it for me is probably Shenmue 3 or Gears of War is much further into development than anticipated.

Ultimately, they delivered some games that make me very glad I have an X1.

I give it a 7/10

The new approach is awesome with trailer after trailer and Sony/Nintendo should follow suit next year, but the actual content was underwhelming.

solid conference 7/10

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

8.75/10

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

too much trailers only... but a good 7/10

Wait if Conker is in project spark that game looks very.... G rated, so I guess the thought of another Bad fur day are pretty much gone completely.
