a console that caters to america and only america is not going to outsell the ps2. its impossible. you have to cater to all three territories and have something that everybody can own the console for.

i actually just made a thread called greatest reasons for sonys success with the ps4 or whatever, i dont really even remember what it was called, but i just made it and its a discussion about why sony is selling so well. and i think after the discussion, people would be able to clearly see that there is no way its going to gain ps2-like marketshare, but it already seems that many people already see that anyway.

Not going to happen this gen will not last as long as the previous one.

lol I think PS4 will hit like 80 Mil tops lifetime. Console gaming has shrunk back to around Gen 6 levels and probabaly a little lower. I cant see all home consoles put together this gen topping 160 Million.

I say 80 million for PS4, 40 for Xbox one and 40 for Wii U all best case scenarios.

I dont think any gen from now on will sell more than the PS2.

Too bad that piracy didn't help out the Dreamcast selling more consoles you didn't even had to mod it in order to play burned games on it.  The best console to mod during the sixth generation was the original XBox you could upgrade the HDD and it also did a decent job as a emulator for aracde games and older consoles.

PS4 is already falling behind Wii in sales. It was outpacing Wii at first but since been doing a nose dive compared.
PS4 won't even make 100 Million.

I think it is possible, but PS2 is the best system ever.
