Superbot isn't a Sony studio and isn't closed.

Huh, you're right, Sony just cut ties with them. They did found the studio, however (per wiki). Supposedly in April of last year it was revealed that they were working on a new IP though.

But that Sony left the studio out to die surely indicates that they don't have much in the way of confidence in that IP.

Or the studio, maybe. The idea is a good one, but it was pretty poorly executed.

My understanding is that Sony never owned them to begin with, they just got them up and running.

Or no confidence in the developer maybe? Doesn't that make more sense? The IP has potential, but clearly it was in the wrong hands. Wasn't it rumored to be placed with an actual Sony studio but then it was shifted to SuperBot? If that is true then that's quite telling - of a lot.

First game was My Goty for last Gen along with MORTAL KOMBAT 9.
battle system 100x fun than Smash (i love smash as well fun game)but psasbar was literally smash+tekken combos and favorite playstation chars(of course i cried when there werent crash snake and stuff) but anyway

hopefully this will be has better graphics and story mode(basically copy damn MK 9)

MKX and PSBAR 2 omg i cant imagine a guy happier then me now !

Either way, if they put actual effort into the presentation this time, and put characters that people actually want, like Crash, Abe and Dart, then sure why not. The netcode was surprisingly reliable. I used to play 2v2 with my Canadian friend with no issues despite living on the other side of the globe.

I was going to post about the moogle, but looked to see if anyone else posted about it first. Guess I'm not the only one who noticed it.

Honestly, I think it's fake. It looks poorly animated because looking at the overall animation it just looks rather cheap.. When the moogle comes up and then the pom pom appears, it's not there at all and then instantly appears on the right side of the moogle until dropping down to the left. You can even notice the image at the bottom of the s in Stars as it pokes its head out.

Glad that PSAS is having another crack at it. The first game was decent, but imo tried too hard to not be Smash and it got in the way of the overall quality.
