Forums - Sony - IGN: The Last Guardian Officially Cancelled! Edit: Not Cancelled? IGN Lied?

^why just a ps4 game though?
The game was basically done on PS3. Even if they don't release a ps3 version, it's still technically a "cross gen" game, so might as well do it PS3+PS4 and satisfy both install bases.

the rumors of like 2 years ago was development was moved from ps3 to ps4 because they couldn't get it running stable on ps3.  now that could mean a lot of thing but i like to believe the title was just too ambitous and the ps3 just wasn't powerful enough to handel all that awesome.

I suppose that's possible too
The initial trailer did look like too much for the ps3 (pretty sure it wasn't running in real time on a PS3)

So IGN lied? Well I would expect journalist to do anything else

So show it at E3 then!

I don't know if this has been posted
nor do i know how to embed a tweet..

""Internal sources" strike again!

I wonder if gaming journalists who actually work hard to confirm reports get offended by stuff like this."

Its ridiculous and a bit embarrassing that these guys haven't made a game in 9 years and a whole generation.
This should have been out years ago.

Isnt this is the great misconception though, they *Have* made a number of games in 9 years and have helped on other projects like SMS does.???

As Kresnik correctly said, I'm talking about Team Ico, not SCEJ.

Judging by their productivity, they are probably working for the government :)

Their productivity is on another planet compared to most governments: they can only be Italian government or EU or UN employees.

So after this Scott Rohde tweet regarding TLG, does anyone else think that they must show the game this year?

It would be pretty weird to say that you laugh at rumours of a games' cancellation, just to then show nothing on it for the 5th year in a row. If you want people to believe that this game is still a reality then show it to us and don't laugh at rumours like this, as if they were in any way farfetched, Sony!!

E3, Gamescom, TGS. One of these, they have to. After that even their denials will start to sound unreliable. 1 year (TGS) after PS4's release should be enough to have a PS4 version up and running

I thinke either E3 or TGS, not Gamescom (that'll be for smaller games, like last year; hoping to see a lot from Rime there, maybe Shadow of the beast too which btw i just realized is an "indie" game; i guess Rime's awesomeness made me overlook that detail and not pay attention to anything else)

We all know how it's going to go. Everyone is gonna say that if Sony doesn't show it at E3, TGS or even Gamescom it's canceled. Then Sony doesn't show it, and we start repeating next year just before E3...

Possibly but it's still stupid to say that you laugh at those rumours (even if IGN fucked this up pretty badly), if you refuse to show the game. Put up or shut up, Sony.
