Forums - Gaming - Dead Rising 3 is Coming to Steam

Isn't that what sony is doing with ps now?
You can play their exclusives on other devices. Why buy a ps system when you know they will be bringing the titles to ps now?
Plus i clearly knew you were stealth trolling so good luck doing a better job next time. I can easily name a ton of xbox exclusives that never made it to pc. Microsoft will support pc but they wont bring every single xbox exclusive over to pc.

No. It's..not the same at all. But you know that.

And this is why I'm okay with M$ buying exclusives, but I never would be with Sony doing the same.

As if there is proof porting exclusive games to the PC hurts Xbox? I believe MS is supporting Windows with more games to discourage people from using SteamOS. Another example of why competition is good.

DR3 is poorly optimized. The game had frame drops even when little was on screen.

Common sense? ^^; Anyone with a decent PC who previously saw DR3 as a reason in favor of buying an X1 no longer will. That "hurts" Xbox. I never implied that the impact would be huge, simply that the X1 needs every sale it can get right now.

Not sure what MS's support with windows would has to do with anything. This rumor is about it coming to steam, that would encourage people to use SteamOS more than it would stop them. Not to mention if Capcom are the ones publishing it then MS don't get a penny from this, so have no incentive to be the ones behind it (they wouldn't allow an X1 exclusive to become available on Steam for teh lulz).

Your common sense ignores some of the best selling 8th gen games have PC ports. So the impact of PC ports (especially late ports) is probably negligible.

The best way to boost X1 sales is having exclusives not available on Sony platforms and being competitive with price.

MS supports Steam, they have numerous games on the service. Fable Anniversary for example is coming to Steam.

MS didn't publish Alan Wake for PC, but Remedy still had to get permission from MS to do the port. It could be a similar situation with DR3.

Systematically targeting a user for mod reporting is an abuse of the reporting system. Users who willfully target another in this manner will also be moderated.

actually if the user has multiple offences shouldn't they all be reported? certainly when there is prior behaviour?

EDIT : let me clarfy reporting is about the offence not the user

Sure but this was a targeted reporting flurry.    Plus we know he was targeted.

If a game is released on xb and pc, it doesn't mean the XB version will sell poorly. It means less XBs will be sold than if there was no PC version.

And right now the mere idea of this "trend" already hurts HW

For example WD PS4 boosted HW right? But the boost would have been even bigger if there was no PC version (MK8 and Wii U say hi)
