Are we counting 3DS units only, not 2DS? Because that's the only way the Wii U outsells the 3DS. 2DS will be a big seller during the holidays because of its low price, and Nintendo handhelds are always a popular holiday item.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
I will say no. If you ask me why I will point you to many large hardware spikes on game releases. The end result is that the consoles sales just tend to fall back to where it is was before the games release.
The 3ds is averaging over 80k just for fun.
The Wii-u needed MK8 launch to stop selling below 50k for just one week.
The U's sales will tumble back below the above 80k average the 3ds does every week in less than a month.
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
MK8 did really well but we don't know if it really boosted Wii-U hardware. Wii-U only went up from 8k to 15k in Japan and that's with over 300k MK8.
There is a real possibility that most people interested in MK8 already own a Wii-U.
But Wii U charted 2 on the charts. And that only 2 days of sales (3 days for Japan)

I really dont see this happening. The 3ds has a bigger baseline for sales and it generally gets a bigger boost during the holidays. So yeah, doubtful...
Let's not start all fellating each other at once here. Maybe we should see where thing settle in the coming weeks before we plan the route for the victory parade.

Not even Mario could compete with Pokemanz.
Pokemon and, in particular, returning to Hoenn, is going to do some major work on the 3DS numbers.
At current, though, the 3DS hasn't been getting much food for play: Kirby, a Mario sports game, a subpar Yoshi. The former is a decent title with wide appeal but the 3DS has a sizable older demographic that is unlikely to pick up a platform and less-so a Kirby one that is more, than anything, marketed and made for kids.
Needs new games and in more "older" subsets like with FE:A or nostalgia machines like BD:FF.
