The MK8 plot thickens : 480+350= 805. The 1.2m increasingly appear to be shipped. And depending on Europe + VGC overtracking Nintendo games as usual, it could be under 1m FW.

Anyway WatchDogs is the clear victor. Even Watchdogs One outsold MK8.

There's still Europe to go (1), and Western numbers don't include Sunday which is included in Nintendo's data (2). You also have digital sales to count for. Nintendo never release shipped numbers like that, they usually release sold numbers.

(1) Europe is the weakest territory for Ninty and UK sales are known to be between 50-100K. France alone won't save the day.

(2) Do a lot of people buy games on Sunday?

XB1 cant be true. im calling undertracked.

likewise

and ps4 seems severely overtracked.

Hahaha, NPD will come and prove you wrong again. I do like how you've now backed off calling VGC accurate now, when you clung so hard to the broken XBO numbers previously. Now that they look even worse, you claim undertracked?

Btw, this PS4 boost isn't even all that big (less than the confirmed boost in the UK for example with data directly from retailers!).

What would you say if NPD comes out, and PS4 is undertracked, and XBO is overtracked. HAHAHAH. It will be damned funny, that's what.

Not going to happen.

I'd bet bitcoin that X1 is undertracked in US.

Lmao, suuuuuure it is.

Have you literally learned nothing from vgcs weekly xb1 overtracking?

We're looking at around 70-100k in France imo. 50k+ Germany. 100k from rest of Europe so thats 270k+ in EU would be my guess.

Also one days of sale worldwide can be assumed to be 100k on the Sunday. It sold 480k in NA on Friday and Saturday, another 70k is not out of the question. Another 30k from Europe doesn't seem out of place either.

It brings the number pretty close to 1.2 m if those assumptions are taken. Not very farfetched. We will have to wait for NPD numbers I guess to give us a better example, but Japan's numbers are known and EU's numbers can be extrapolated from France/UK numbers fairly accurately. This is all without any digital sales included.

Vgchartz got too excited and undertracked X1 and overtracked PS4 to try to calibrate their results.

That is what happened.

Wait a few days and you'll see PS4 adjusted to 45k-50k

and X1 to 35k-38k

Yes i already thought Watchdogs would outsell MK8 during the first week because they have a three day head start, that is common sense.

Definitely not. Besides, MK8 leaked earlier from many retailers. Here in Paris, you could get it the same days as WatchDogs.

I doubt that those retailers who did leak MK8 earlier were numerous enough to make a huge difference to the argument. And anyway, it's comparing apples and oranges - Watch Dogs is cross platform, MK8 is exclusive.

Where are you getting this from?

MKWii was exclusive but it still outsold most of the PS360PC biggest games. If the game is that good, people will buy the system for the game. They bought Watchdogs instead.

And if you really want to compare SKU vs SKU, just look at the OP : Watchdogs PS4 sold twice more than MK8.

Bombastic numbers.

This is what happens when I go to sleep early - I wake up to 350 posts to read. A lot of activity, but not surprising given those 2 huge releases this week.
But, most of the posters are dissatisfied, and i don't understand that. Is it that hard to actually be happy for once?

Mario Kart is a great game. It sold magnificently. WiiU received a 600% boost. That is awesome, wonderful an amazing rolled into one. Why do Nintendo fans have the need to be dissatisfied just because WiiU fell short of PS4 by a few thousand units. Given VGC's margin of error, but especially YTD sales, being a close #2 should be a reason to be excited and happy.

People doubt PS4's ability to increase sales by 60% - when in the UK it increased by almost 100%. So, basically a push given the bundling in Europe. But you need to realize that EU WD bundle was not PS4+free game, it was at an increased price.

XOne's numbers also realistic. Some people are waiting for the price drop. If you don't care about Kinect, it's a sensible thing to wait 10 days and then pick up WD and a console. And of course, all of XO's problems don't help its cause...

I believe that WiiU has a chance to ride the wave for a few more weeks, and it is still in the clouds to see what effect X1's Kinect unbundling will have on the system, but it will probably be a very close battle for 2n place in June, with WiiU edging out X1 in the end (in the US, in EU won't even be close).

I like this post. I predict a great future for you on vg.

I was one of those who believed the X1 numbers to be undertracked but after I realised the previous X1 week has been adjusted down this week's 21% X1 boost vs 60% PS4 boost kinda makes sense.

Interesting to see what impact the kinectless Xbox one will have on sales.
