PS4 adjusted up and Xbox One adjusted down on previous weeks. Unless the kinectless Xbox does wonders, this generation is starting is looking very, very skewed towards Sony. Almost PS2-like.

That thread I started about Xbox One selling horribly in mainland Europe... it's even worse. Averaging 4k for a while now. Half the Wii U numbers in Japan... in all of mainland Europe! Dreadful. It's dead there.

Congratulations to Wii U for a good week. I hope the baseline of the console increases this year, the industry needs to be healthier than this. It would certainly deserve it with all the SW they are releasing.

I definitely could't have predicted an 80K PS4 boost from Watch_Dogs. I seriously thought that all those console sales already came from the launch bundles.

Well, if we refer to previous npd, they're close but still wrong, undertracked.


Wait for NPD and then official numbers from sony to do the maths.



Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

pezus is actually somewhere other than gaf,  a place with a great Vizion  ;)  thats where some of us are.  although etho also has a gaf account lol

Very real possibility.  What's also interesting is that if these numbers are true, than the Wii U just added 135K (1.75M total, now)to its gap on the One.  The One will need 14 (~3.5 months) weeks of sales numbers like last week to make that up.  Considering it will take another week or so before the Wii U drops below the One, again, I think it's safe to assume the One isn't going to pass it anytime soon.  If Nintendo plays its cards just right ($249 price cut + a few more system sellers), there's a real shot it could end up 2nd this gen.

I think it is quite possible that WiiU survive in second position for 2014.

A nice thing is that in the US at least, other Wii U games got some boosts. 3D World about 4K more and boosts to Nintendo Land and Zelda as well. Not DK for some reason...
