Forums - Gaming - 79% Of Gamers Say They Won't Buy Cheaper $399 Xbox One

While I believe that the $399 Kinect-less SKU isn't going to do much, this survey is highly flawed. Sample size is good, but the method of sampling isn't random. Also, the way the guy presents his results is a bit unprofessional, as if trying to get under people's skins.

I was never a fan of Microsoft but when they announced the kinectless Xbox one I knew I made the right choice in not supporting their consoles. Why would I want to buy a console where the producer may just abandon it because of poor sales. At least Nintendo has the balls to stay with something until the end.

Nintendo get criticised for *not* changing.

Microsoft get criticised *for* changing.

Anyway it isn't as if they have stopped producing kinect and completely given up on it. There is still an option to buy a console with kinect and I find that options are good. Those who have no interest in kinect can buy one without it and those who find use out of kinect are still able to buy it with kinect.

Well I was never one of the people who criticized Nintendo. I know that now there is an option but there is a big difference in now and from the start. There is a big difference between saying they will stick to the Kinect and then making it an option. Microsoft keeps saying things and then changing their mind, that's what I criticize. I haven't decided between ps4 and Xbox one yet but I'm leaning more ps4 now

They didn't even ask 1000 people.

The bias is too strong to take it seriously even if it's true

One out of two people like Mario. That means 50% of all people do. Isn't statistics amazing?

Smart people. Xbone is like a raped and abused identity now. At that price point, minus the Kinect, it has no advantage. People will just look at it now as the weaker console.

VGChartz♥♥♥♥♥FOREVER

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

The terrible pre orders on amazon is a good indicitiion to that. I myself have been tempted but i always come back to a no because of a launch show where pretty much everything tested was a hazzle or didnt even work. Also i dont like paying for things with features i cant use and the tv functionality isnt available in denmark yet as far as i know. Add to that that i already have a ps4 that has the better versions of multiplats and i would be buying a machine just to play xbox one exclusives which i reaæly dont tjink will be a good investment if the 360,s lifecycle is anything to go on. Halway in they stopped nearly aæl core support and just started doing kinect

How many percent lied?

Top rated comment ''Bill, with your libel against Microsoft for the Machinima advertising program and your failure to issue a formal apology for your libel after it was proven that you lied, you lost all credibility as a journalist.

When you later used infanticide to push your biased agenda against Microsoft, I lost all respect for you.

Now you are trivializing the murder of nearly 3000 people via the 9/11 terrorist attacks ("It looks like Microsoft pissed off more of their own fanbase than Osama Bin Laden pissed off Americans back in 2001"), and likewise trivializing the genocide of 3-6 million Jews during the Holocaust ("like Yiddish Jews emerging from the sewers where they hid in Poland during World War II") just to push your biases.

If you were excited for what kinect had to offer as well as the other policies that MS were pushing for when they revealed the Xbox One then I understand. A kinectless SKU doesn't neccessarily mean that they aren't going to stick with Kinect but it does hint at them not focusing on it and giving it as much attention as they would have before they announced the kinectless SKU.

I haven't decided yet either but I'll decide after e3 based on which exclusives interest me the most, I'm glad kinect isn't mandatory anymore as hopefully it means that I'll be seeing more core games rather than kinect games.

You are a despicable human being and it says a lot about Cinemablend that they continue to allow you to publish your garbage on their site.

Since you clearly do not have PhD in statistics, I'll give you the Cliff's notes version: the statistics you cited are meaningless. They were not gathered from a statistically representative sample and are therefore completely worthless. Citing them as evidence of any argument is equivalent to libel.''

Nice xD

With E3 round the corner, the pathetic click bait threads are going to be on the rise. Journalism is dead.

This.

MS as a compnay is very different from the japanese. If sony hands them their ass through out 2014 and 2015? Be sure to see a new console from them around 2016. Thats just MS for you. I at least applaude them for investing more in fisrt party this time around though, looking back at the amount of first party releases they had in the last 3 years of the 360 is pitiful at best.

Nulsshit article though, not enough people surveyed to take serioulsy.
