Forums - Sony - When will Sony add classic support again for titles?

Sony E3 megaton: all PSP and PS1 digital titles playable on Vita, all digital PS1 and PS2 titles playable on PS4. Everything you've already purchased carries on for free.
That'd be good.

I keep trying to forget about it. It only serves to remind me how much disregard Sony has for customers of the platform in my region. It's not as if Japan and EU region hadn't worked out these licensing issues years ago so there really can be no excuse but laziness and lack of care.

They never will because of licensing issues.

Why would there be licensing issues though? If they can already sell them through PSN for the PS3 why not Vita as well?

Different device, counts as a re-release... copyrite laws are pretty terrible.

My guess is that it'll probably get announced at E3 during the Vita portion of the conference.

My guess is that it'll be the Vita portion of the conference.

LOL probably. TGS is where we'll probably see more Vita news.

Can't we already do that? I play Ps1 and psp downloaded games all the time on my vita.

Never. They want to push PS Now as the big thing for BC.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

There are some games that can't be played.

None of the Crash games can be played on a Vita in NA.

They sort of released them just a month ago for the Vita but they took them down a few days later.

I'm pretty sure they can all be played on the Vita in EU.

obviously they are pushing these to PlayStationNow service...
