Forums - Gaming - What could Microsoft have left for E3??

Maybe a new Banjo/Conker game? I would gladly take both of them!

Everything points to disappointing times for xb1 @ e3. Terrible sales forced their hand with announcing some e3 stuff early. There is almost nothing they can do that will be relevant to the mainstream to change course enough not to get crushed ww, and almost certainly lose the us as well.

Shenmue 3? Today's gamers couldn't care less. Battletoads? Nope. Etc etc. They will probably announce a title or two that fans will like, but like killer instinct, it won't be enough to make even a slight impact overall.

You know, I love getting high on sales data and reveling in the pure pleasure of it all. It is the equivalent of sex IMO when my favourite console outsells the other.

That said, the average core gamer really cares about what E3 means to them, not the mainstream. If MS shows a ton of games that would appeal to the 10% of vocal online forum gamers, then that shows they have the right priorities, it is as simple as that.

Mainstream means pushing Kinect, and hardly anybody on ANY online gamign site wants that. This is for the fans.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

GTA V Xbox One (next gen) exclusive will be a big megaton for me.

not bloody likely with GTA5 selling more on PS3 and PS4 having the higher install base

I don't think Kinect is mainstream, at least not anymore. Sales are horrible for that.

Mainstream = CoD, Madden, GTA, yadda. Neither Sony nor Microsoft really have massive 1st party IPs anymore if the decline of Halo, Gears, God of War, etc seem to indicate. Even Uncharted would be hard pressed to top previous entry sales.

Kinect is only on there due to the pack in game. People are DONE with Kinect. It's niche, uncool, unhip, basically hated today. Ditto Move, Wii motion controls, and all the other gimmicky garbage. They're as dumpster-material as the endless stacks of Guitar Hero and Rock Band plastic guitars and crap.

But yeah, I expect them to announce some semi-obscure titles that haven't seen sequels for 10+ years that will excite small pockets of people but won't sell more than 1-2M even on the very best chances imaginable for XB1, and may even bomba out way worse than that. People have short memories and almost zero loyalty. Similarly, wasting money bringing 90s Sony IPs back is almost certainly a waste of time as well. At most they should be indie/F2P kind of projects.

SO extended gameplay and multplayer features.

Halo 5 "ingame" trailer.

15min of Call of Duty

Killer Instinct Season 2 teaser

Some Indie games and developers.

"Fantasia" for the defunct Kinect.

A few others new and inproved Kinect features.

Battlefield Hardline gameplay.

5min for a new 360 MOBA or MMO.

Wow, that would be one of the most shitty E3's ever. Lmao @ 15 minute CoD demo.

Good I'm not the only one that thinks that lol

I think I remember an interview where someone from CD Projekt Red said that while there wouldn't be any exclusive content made for any particular platform, they were planning to have some form of marketing cooperation at E3 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Whether it's Microsoft or Sony is anyone's guess.
