The whole idea of this game bugs me. It's supposed to be connected to the TV show, but what if the show has horrible ratings and gets cancelled after two episodes? What happens to the game then. The whole project in general just seems far too ambitious for Remedy to pull off. I don't consider them a very talented studio.

it isnt like defiance this show isnt being aried on tv or anything  the show is based on your actions so if you kill this guy your show wont have him in it

The show will not get cancelled because it will not have ratings. It will most probably be a XBox Exclusive show you'll be able to watch over XBL. Also, since the entire game will (most likely) be released at once, and not episodically like TellTale games, it means that the entire show will be available immediatelly (like Netflix' House of Cards).

I see the play they are trying to make - Hoping that people end up liking it, they plan to make more seasons of the show, and of course turn the game into an annual franchise (with sepaprate titles or DLC).

This is where I'm pessismistic. I doubt that the TV show will be great. It will be mediocre-to-decent at best. And even if it turns out to be fantastic, I don't see remedy being able to keep up with it by providing a new game annually.

But, we have seen very little of the game, and have learned only the basic premises of the entire concept. And that's why I'm sceptical, and why I believe that it will disappoint many people in the end.

Hated Alan Wake, hope this is better, X1 be collecting dust, hope they have something more to show at E3.

I loved Alan Wake but I can see why people would hate it. I just loved it a lot great story and new gameplay that was very original.

Isn't the show on the disc?  I remember reading that on ths site.

The game looks amazing!
Delays suck but if its for the better then so be it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the show is on the disc, you play an episode of the game and then the episode plays (After completing that level) you can choose whether or not to watch it though so I'm guessing all episodes will be on the disc at launch

Well, that changes it a bit. But it's still confusing. I don't see the point of the show then.

Couldn't they just make another campaign for people to play? Now I'm actually even less excited for this game.

Looks good but hell noo ass good as last years e3.

I just think of it like the show is a replacement for CGI cutscenes.

Yeah, you're right... I guess I was coming from a totally different perspective, thinking it will be a TV Show, and doubting its quality.

So, basically live-action cutscenes is what we get. My entire theory has now changed, and I've lost any opinion I actually have of this game.

So, putting this in my "Wait til Gamescom" file :)

I think that as time goes on, people will just be getting more and more disappointed by this title. Right now, it seems a bit of Watch Dogs with Remedy's trademarked Bullet Time, with a pinch of Abstergo (or Monarch) added.
Maybe I'm wrong there, but I surely don't expect much from a game that is actually a TV-series tie-in/cross-over.
There is simply no chance that both of those will be good, and most probably the TV series will be some unwatchable B-grade SyFy-channel movie of the week quality junk.

I hope that at Gamescom I will be convinced otherwise, but until then I reserve my right to dislike the entire concept...

No. Remedy dont make games like Watchdogs. Remedy make singleplayer cinematic experiences. Alan Wake was my 2nd fav game of all last gen. Awesome storytelling.

And Quantum Break is about Time stopping ( Zero State ). atchdogs is about hacking other devices in an open world.

The 2 are not even remotely similar.

Remedy are my 2nd fave developer of all time. Max Payne 1 and 2 were amazing. An Alan Wake was sooooo goooood.
