Forums - Sales - Ubisoft: Watch Dogs Day 1 Sales higher than any other Ubisoft title ever

Well, considering this is launching across 5 platforms at the same time (plus the Wii U in the fall). It is not surprising.

Wow. I expected a disclaimer (for a new IP on a new generation console) but there was not one. Crazy!

Everybody is pretty burned out of AC, so this is a good change of pace. I can't see them doing their "2 games a year" plan for this franchise.

2 games a year? Have they actually mentioned they have plans like that or is it in reference to the 2 AC games this year?

sorry, should have been more clear. Yeah, in reference to the AC thing. If this game sells amazingly, no doubt they will try something like it. Maybe yearly, but for a sand box games, it doesn't really make sense. I'd rather they make tons of worth-while dlc.

Assassin's Creed 3 sold over three million the first week of its release. So Watch Dogs sold more than three million?

technicially 3 million was in its first week. not first day. depends really on how the rest of the week goes. but i would guess this easily did over 1 million and most probably 1.5 million or so.

Would seem so. That is very impressive and above what I expected, curious to see its legs in the coming weeks and months.

Actually im guessing this will be every 3 years. With FarCry, The Division coming out every 3 years or so too.

so for example in  FC5 in 2016, WD2 in 2017 and TD2 in 2018, then FC6 in 2019. and so on. WD was supposed to be a 2013 tittle, FarCry is a 2014 tittle and The Divison a 2015. and then the loop continues, something like that.

Bigger than the biggest Assassin's Creed? I did not expect that. Really curious to see how much it sold on each platform.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

I lost a lot of my interest in this title due to the amount of trailers they showed. It was really intriguing at first and then they released like 40 trailers of it, and I just didn't care anymore.

Told you guys the internet reaction was NOTHING like the real world to this game.

This game will be gigantic

and correctly me if i'm wrong but previously you said that destiny is tracking to be even bigger.

...i'm really glad though that internet pessimism isn't tainting the general consumer.  watch dogs might not be the best game ever created but it looks great none-the-less.  i just can't get over how much hate supposed gamers are giving to games these days.  it really annoys me to the core actually.

Probably beat all their other games in complaints of disappointment as well. But that's just how people are nowadays.
