I really can´t believe the absurd hype this game is getting.
Anyone who has been gaming for a good amount of time, knows, the exact moment they see a video of it, that this game is overrated.
The power of money i suppose...

If you read the OP, 24fps was the absolute lowest DF managed to get the frame rate through heavy stress testing. Unless you're purposely try to put stress on the game by doing something crazy, it runs pretty much locked at 30fps the entire time, which is pretty impressive considering the games scale. You can watch 14 minutes of it pretty much sticking to 30fps here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SmhW_IqYt4
The screen tearing is only in the disappointing section because it only occurs when the game it unable to hit the performance target, the rest of the time it's fine. That makes it a fairly small issue, but none the less disappointing.
Also, please don't bring MK8 into this. Ignoring the fact it will start arguments, almost everyone who mentioned the 59fps issue didn't actually read what DF said.

Going down to 24 fps in the most busy situation in an open world and complex game like Whatch Dogs is more than ok. MK8 is a very simple and basic game in comparison, but I would never complain about a 2-5 fps slow down.
This Game live up to my expectations, it looks reall good and solid.

Of course the rain's a highlight, shaders make everything look beautiful. Even Wii U can do shiny shaders like that and look incredible. The lighting at day light is dissapointing as expected. |
This is why the WiiU version of Watch Dogs looks so nice...
And to answer you, WiiU can't do anything close to PS4.

Have we even seen the WiiU version yet? :p
Anyway, you'd be correct in saying that the PS4 has considerably more shaders on its GPU than what the WiiU is likley to have, but saying "WiiU can't do anything close to PS4" wouldn't be stricly true.
Anyway, let's keep it clean ^^ This isn't the place for hardware comparisons.

I fail to see the relevancy of the WiiU to this discussion, people.
I expected worse from Watch Dogs, so I'm pleased with the technical results. I want to play with the nice physics effects they were complementing.

Yeah, i love playing around with physics
Driving through the city and throwing people obstacles into the air is always fun.
I'm pretty exited to see what The Order does with soft body physics too. Having objects properly react to the external forces being applied to them is going to be pretty cool, as long as they implement it properly.

I am very happy to see the game is technically on the nice side. Solid 30fps 99% of the time is great, and personally, a little screen tearing has never bothered me, so I don't see the big deal on that. I'll take some screen tearing with a solid frame rate over no screen tearing with a choppier frame rate any day. Now, just gotta see some positive reviews, and I'm all over this game... Looks pretty beautiful.
graphics aren't that impressive at all. I've noticed several framrate drops and slow downs while playing it. it's even worse online. look at some youtube videos, with how bad some of the physics are. most disappointed graphics this gen,so far. It looked nothing like that e3 showing.
Is there a comparison of the area they showed in the reveal back in 2012, to the final version of the game? I'd like to see how close they got to matching that reveal video, in a like for like comparison.
