lol I can't believe anyone would take this sites pre-order data seriously. I'd go with Ben on this one..

Even if this site were inaccurate, Ben's is probably even less representative of the actual pre-order numbers because Nintendo games don't sell as well at dedicated gaming boutiques such as GS, as compared to games on the other two consoles.

Many big Nintendo games are more strongly featured at Walmart and Toysrus. My main source for this are the flyers I get in the mail, where Walmart and ToysRus feature Nintendo's games, and the educated guess that families shop more at Walmart, Best Buy, etc. than they do at Gamestop.

So let me get this straight. You receive the same Canadian flyers that I receive in the mail with Nintendo ads in the Walmart section coupled with families shopping more at Walmart and you arrive at Ben is less representative of actual pre-order numbers. Regardless of familes shopping more at Walmart, those same families usually don't pre-order at Walmart. The type of gamer that pre-orders a game are far more then likely to shop at GS than Walmart. Not to mention GS has the largest (correct me if I am wrong Ben) market share of software purchases in the US. Walmart I believe has the edge in hardware sales I believe.

As fas as Nintendo games not selling at GS, it was a good enough retailer to support Xenoblade Chronicles which Nintendo signed an exclusive contract with GS to sell that title only at that outlet.

Overall, I think you are confusing pre-order sales with actual game sales once the game is released. Walmart may sell X amount of copies of MK8 but a huge portion of those sales are not pre-ordered. This is where Ben's data comes in handy as usually he is more accurate in stating "pre-orders" for games at GS.
