I think you can criticize Van Gaal for a lot, but not playing his youth players isn't one of them.

Last year was fine but with Champions League back in the game, Man U are strengthening the team which means more big international players, pushing younger players out. Not critising Van Gaal at all, jsut worried over youth teams abilities to play.

And based on lasy year, I could have got in ahead of Falcao. :)

Saints Footbal schedule is already ruined thanks to Europa League. :P But at least we are in it. We have Vitesse in the first round we play (3rd I think), anyone know what they current squad is like?

I think we need to buy a couple of cheap players to boost the squad, so far we only have replacements for people we sold and like 1 extra. We need an actual striker, sure Jay is back but Pelle is the only big striker type guy we have... unless Gallagher comes in form.

Vitesse? Koeman should win it.. Vitesse is Chelsea's Youth team were Young players like  back then Piazon, Matic and many more play for.. Vitesse usually sucks at the beginning of the season cause of all the new players but at the end of the season they are like top 6 in the dutch league.. But at this point in the season you shouldn't be worried especially because their top midfielders and Chelsea striker Troare (great player, really hoped he makes it at Chelsea) have left..

So i'm for Ajax so some Feyenoorder might wanna correct:

He's a good passer and is a smart player with a good overview of the play.. likes to pass the ball forward..  but I think he's too short and not powerfull enough to play defensive midfielder in England.. but Koeman should know this.. if a strong striker like Pelle drops back a bit Clasie would be in trouble..

Pelle could hug Clasie to dead..

Height should never be an issue with a DM. Strenght might be a factor but positioning overshadow all other abilities.

Makelele was the best DM I've ever seen play and he was just 5'7.
