Well, with Portugal out of the WC equation, I now pledge my full support to Colombia . Hope they go as further as they can go in this WC, they have some amazing players and a great team spirit as well.

A laser pointer at the goal keeper and kicking the ball away like a cunt...

Keep it classy Algeria, I'll enjoy the massacre on monday

The Russians weren't any better either. Scoring while the other team played one man down, because a player had to have his head bandaged after a foul by a Russian. Football is probably the only sport in the world, where you can get an advantage violating the rules. This should be changed, they shouldn't play until such a player can't join the team.

Unless the ref stops the game, the players can play, attack and score. It wasnt aganst the rules nor cheating. Laser pointing and ball kicking like that was.

Your bias against Russians is showing again. If you have to criticize them, criticize their awful offensive

I know it's not against the rules, but that's what I'm talking about. Football is the only sport in which you can faul and hurt another player and when he is being treated outside of the pitch, the play goes on and the team of the violator has a one man advantage. Ridiculous, it should be changed.

This is a common parctice in almost every football game. I am yet to see a team stopping their counter attack because the opposite team's player is beaing treated outside of the field. I am not saying it never happend, but it's not the norm at all

Laser pointing or kicking the ball isn't against any rules. First one was done by a fan, to which football rules do not apply, moreover it is sadly a common thing in Europe (Spain especially). I have never seen it affect any play and I'm sure it didn't really matter here as well. Kicking the ball just isn't fair play, but isn't explicitly against the rules, I believe :P

Of course they do. Football associations get punished all the time for the shit their fans stir up (especially if they're from the Balkans). Harassin other team's players and coaches is a serious offense, I'm surprised FIFA won't do anything about it.

You do know that the Algerian who kicked the ball got the yellow card for it, right? So yeah, it is very clearly against the rules and also a very bitch move to do, which is why I cant wait for Germans to demolish them on monday.

I'm not denying that :) Seeing them lose makes my heart sing :) Even more so, since they absolutely didn't deserve to advance, Algeria was clearly the better team in the course of the whole group phase.

It must be bad when you get happy from failures and disappointments of others. I'm sure Poles will have a great time on the next WC :) They probably wont ever try to qualify just to evade going to Russia xD

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

@1 - I know, this has to be changed, cause it's just more against fair play than the ball kicking by the reserve player.

@2 - But that's not the football rules. They don't apply to fans.

@3 - I believe the ball kicking is not against the rules, it's just "considered not fair play" and was punished even though it wasn't against any rules. I seriously doubt you'll find a rule that doesn't allow to kick a ball that's not in play.

@4 - Oh no, it's so good :) I hope we do go there. We have good enough players, but they just can't form a team. The team is worth less than the sum of the players, we have to change it. I would love to see us paying the Russians back for all the riots, destruction their fans caused in Poland during Euro and for all the shit their diplomats and ambasady caused as well. But sadly I know that it won't happen, we just aren't such assholes as they are.

Brazylia 2:1 Chile

Kolumbia 2:0 Urugwaj

And if you read the rules carefully you will see that generally "unfair play"(unsporting behavior) IS against the rules and yellow or even red worthy. For example page 42.

@1

This rule is in place because football is full of assholes. It's designed to deter people from feigning injuries to delay the game. That way a player will think twice before leaving the field because it's his team that will suffer from it. I know it's not ideal and that is more than often hurting an innocent team but without this rule in play we would see a lot more feigning in the games which would be a drag on a game that is already prone to be slow an uneventful.
