No, it wasn't penalty. Yes, we got somewhat lucky. Yes, we definitely need to improve. DEFINITELY.

But you're crazy if you think Neymar didn't play well, or that the referee had THAT MUCH mistakes.

Oscar played really, REALLY well on second half, but was so-so on the first half. MVP regardless, but the "official" one is probably going to be Neymar. Anyway, Brazil was better than Croatia and we deserved to win. Of course you could argue I'm biased, but anyway.

Neyamr and Oscar were great. But I still lold. Brazil wasn't better than Croatia, to be honest. And I don't like Croatia that much.

Ok, I swear I really didn't see that many mistakes. If anything, it was bad against both sides (the non-existing penalty, the ridiculous number of fouls comitted against Marcelo and Oscar with no cards...). What are all these mistakes everyone here is talking about?

Should have been a draw, the PK was absurd. Both teams played quite well, but nothing to write stories about. I think the best player on the pitch was Oscar. I still believe both these teams will get out of this group.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Neymar didn't play that well for me but he put the ball in the net when he had to and that's all that matters.

I really don't see why some people were so nasty towards him but hey, it's the world we live in these days.

Oscar was man of match.

i think the first match for the home team is hard because the pressure is high. Hopefully they get better from here on.

Neymar did really well, he was easily one of the best two on the pitch alongside Oscar.

Yeah, lots of pressure first match but now they've got 3 points that should ease considerably. I don't expect Mexico or Cameroon to put up as much of a fight as Croatia did either so Brazil should look better next couple of games at least.

I only saw the second half and based my opinion of the match on that.

And yes, the pressure is huge on the team. It seems the country and the World Cup depends on Brazil having a good tournament. It is good that they got what I think is the best team in the group out of the way.

I haven't watched the entire game, but I didn't get the feeling Croatia was anything more than average. Brazil was too nervous, or isn't that good a team as people claim, or perhaps a bit of both.

Too nervous. As the Confederations Cup showed, it is a pretty good team. The next match will be harder though. Mexico always plays well against Brasil, but we'll see.

Brazil is like the only country in the world who values the Confederations  though, much like the Club World Cup.

Personally I think the team is halfway from good to very good like Belgium or the Netherlands. It wouldn't be a favorite if the World Cup wasn't here.

Im not doubting that Brazil deserved to win it, they were the better team. But...

1. Neymar should have been sent off for the elbow before he scored.
2. Neymar gets lucky with his fluffed shot.
3. Never, ever a penalty and Fred should have been booked for simulation.
4. Neymar should have been made to re-take the penalty after his stupid run up.
5. Croatia unlucky to not get the equaliser at 2-1 down.

Ref had a shocker because he got the 2 most important decisions wrong. Neymar staying on had a gigantic effect on the game and the penalty? It turned the game on its head completely.

We don't exactly "value" the Confederations. It just so happens that the last two titles were really exciting.

2009 the winning goal was scored at injury time, after USA did 2-0. And last year, the match against Spain was nothing short of epic, after so many people bet that Spain would MASSACRATE Brazil.

I laughed at the bolded. Agree with the rest though.

Whats to laugh at? He intentionally elbowed him in the face and only got a yellow for it.

They should rename football diveball, or refball because it is more accurate.

"Elbowed him" lol. You're probably one of the people who agreed when Kaka was sent off against Ivory Coast in 2010. It was pretty much the same thing.
