Lol what the actual fuck.

If you've only played 1 or 2 games for that country****

I really hope it's only that. I don't want to see a situation where Messi and Ronaldo get sick of not being able to win a World Cup so they join up with Bale to play for Spain.

Atlanta United of the MLS have a higher average attendance than Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool do.

Do they have a bigger stadium?

Yes.

Bale? If they want to win the World Cup they'd better try to keep Bale away.

Joke aside, you'd still have to be able to actually play for that country. Bale and Ronaldo don't need to be Spainish citizens to work in Spain, so they never need to get passports etc.

On the subject, I thought that if you wanted to play for another nation you were a citizen of you could be you'd have to wait 2 years to do so? Basically wait out the next tournament cycle?

Hmm, pie.

They may well have lived in Spain long enough to apply for Spanish citizenship by now though. It could well be Bale's best interest too, so he can remain an EU citizen...

You mean if they were to change the system? Because right now it's not possible to change at all, so there's no waiting period for a change or anything like that.

Foreign Minister in spain said expats would be able to stay in Spain just yesterday, so Bale is fine. Spain know that British expats provide good economy to certain areas though tourism and housing so.

On the latter, no. I think I'm mixing up sports. This said, reading up, it seems that playing only Friendlies does not commit you to a team, as per Diego Costa.

Hmm, pie.

Yes.

And how do their ticket prices compare?

Although can't really say it's that surprising. Us English seem to be lazy bums. Other leagues beat us for attendance, but we wipe the floor with them when it comes to TV revenues

Premier League ticket prices are ridiculous considering the TV revenue and how other big teams in europe have £100 season tickets.

Epl is very good for attendance percentages, it's just the european and cup games where teams like City get their 'empty' reputation.

Haha the whole of Real Madrid plus Messi and De Gea would definitely be favourites..

Late Wednesday night and you know it's on TV and is extra and not part of your season ticket? Why bother going?

Hmm, pie.

MLS tickets are cheap compared to the major sports leagues in North America. It's pretty much become a college subculture as many students end up going to the games. But it's still pretty impressive that Atlanta United, who only formed this year, is able to sell out an NFL stadium.
