Bale? If they want to win the World Cup they'd better try to keep Bale away.

Joke aside, you'd still have to be able to actually play for that country. Bale and Ronaldo don't need to be Spainish citizens to work in Spain, so they never need to get passports etc.

 

On the subject, I thought that if you wanted to play for another nation you were a citizen of you could be you'd have to wait 2 years to do so? Basically wait out the next tournament cycle?
