Everyone's fave Saudi Arabia qualified!
Watching our Under-21 team against Scotland..... these idiots somehow make the main team look like the best in the world.

At the expense of Australia! I'd fancy Australia to win the playoff against Syria, and I'd also fancy them to beat the CONCACAF team they get in the playoff after that too (I'm assuming the US qualify automatically here). But if they don't... :O |
Lol this is what happened to Saudi Arabia the last 3 times they made the World Cup. 1998: France 4-0 Saudi Arabia. 2002: Germany 8-0 Saudi Arabia. 2006: Ukraine 4-0 Saudi Arabia. USA better not need a playoff, and I don't want to see the Aussies miss out.
Holy shit, what's happening with the US? With how things are looking at the moment they wont even be in CONCACAF's top 3 and they'll have to go to the inter-confederation playoffs.

Anschluss.

This is not the time to follow nazi ideologies. Well, it's never the time to do that, but we are only talking about football here. |
Unfortunately politics and football do have a strong history of being interwined.
CONMEBOL is crazy. As a Chilean I'm pretty upset that we will probably won't qualify :(

Is kind of a surprise that both Argentina And chile are so close to missing the world cup. Those teams played each other last 2 copa america (and argentina lost the last world cup in the finale) i guess not everything is said and done when it comes to futbol
03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:

England are top of their group, haven't lost and have already qualified for the world cup. No one here cares anyway.
Hmm, pie.

Gotta love that it's so tight all the way to the end though! Makes qualifying actually worthwhile. When the expanded world cup with 6 CONMEBOL teams rolls around it will just be too easy |
I was really hoping to see Peru play in the World Cup, now it looks like that could actually happen!
