That rule is really dumb. If you touch the ball with your hand, penalty or fault or whatever. No intention? Learn to keep your arms/hands down. It's not hard. In fact, it's harder to raise your hands.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

• the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)

This point is very important. Bastian was far from the ball and his hand away from his body. Even if he had no intention of playing the ball with his hand, it obstructed the play. Consequently, it's a foul.

You can think that the penalty call was incorrect, but to claim that the ref was bought and all the conspiracy shit and the outrage is worthy of ridicule to be honest. Most agree that it was a penalty.

Actually a lot would have to be changed for that. Take the hand play from Boateng. The reason his arms were up was that he was doing the common gesture to signal to the ref that you didn't touch your opponent. This is only even a thing because influencing the ref is not punished. So many things are not punished, which makes players behave in that way, thinking their faking and gestures work on refs. That's because sometimes they do.

That's why I think the rules should be a lot stricter to teach players some manners and respect.

Yellow card for approaching and talking to the ref after a clear decision.

Yellow card for touching the ball when it's clear that it belongs to the other team.

Yellow card for obstructing play by not moving away from the ball for a free kick.

Yellow card for obvious play on time plus adding another minute to overtime.

Yellow card for pulling a jersey no matter in what situation.

Yellow cards for many other small things that are against the rules but are never punished by the refs.

The rules and refs as they are, are much too lenient and that causes this shitty behavior from players. I don't care about "the heat of the moment", players need to learn some fucking respect. Respect for the ref, the other team and the game.

I agree. Block a ball with ur hand in penalty box = red card.

The penalty was fair. German players just need to learn to put their hands down.

Wait, where is the match to decide the 3rd place? :o

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

3rd place match went to Wales. Neuer caused a hand penalty in the 90th minute. People are not sure how it happened but agree that the ref made the right decision. The shot was at an empty goal because Neuer was sent off for getting his 3rd yellow card in that match.
