I'm just wondering why there are two threads of this. I know repeat threads get made when an official announcement is made and everyone's trying to be the first to post, but this just seems like a response to the thread WiiU will pull a 3DS.

i say its a success if it passes the gamecube and gets 30 million
or when nintendo makes a profit because thats the important thing
nintendo's wii u sales goal is really conservative which they will probably sell 6 million at least this year with smash and mario kart

When people say pull a 3DS, i dont think they necessarily believe it will sell similar to 3DS levels but rather it will rise over the baseline by a similar percentage as 3DS recieved.

Before the turnaround, 3DS was selling about 70-80k per week. After the price cut and big holiday games it started selling about twice that. Wii U's baseline has been about 30k so if Mario Kart plus a steady stream of games can put it at a baseline of 60k, that would be pulling a 3DS in my opinion.

I saw that post and people say that the Wii U may or may not pull a 3DS but that is not this thread. I am trying to crush the idea that people are saying that it will pull a 3ds. The Wii U will pull a Wii U! It will sell great or better but have the great games that the GC had.

Im trying to stop the comparison between the Wii U selling better and pulling a 3DS. The Wii U will not end up like the 3DS or even a GC 2.0 but its own thing similar to a resurrected GC with great games but sell more. Do you understand what i mean.

I won't say miracle comeback. Once Nintendo show the power of the Wii U and the lineup of AAA games people will take notice. There is no miracle. I wouldn't care if it actually came in second. I lying, I would care. Nintendomination baby!

The Wii-U will pull a Wii-U.. lets see after this E3.. nobody knows the full picture yet.. not even close..

Remember wii.. at launch they had like 5% of the offerings 3 years later (online game, netflix. VC . better internet, and lots more)

So OP.. it MAY not pull a 3DS.. but we still have to see that.. MAY is the key word :)
