1. Ellie (TLoU)
2. Clementine (The Walking Dead)

And that's it, honestly. I don't really pay attention to female characters in gaming and I can't remember anymore memorable ones.

Aya Brea (Parasite Eve I and 2, T3B version is an abomination)

Lilith (Borderlands)
Jill Valentine (RE3)
Claire Redfield (RE2)
Lili Rochefort (Tekken)
Beatrix (FFIX)
Freya (Valkyrie Profile)
Mitsuru Kirijo (Persona 3)
Amazon (Dragon's Crown)
Seraphim (Sacred 2)

Female characters who kick major ass instead of crying for help always win points from me and Aya Brea is the winner by far in that regard from my vast gaming experience.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

8 is the new 10 today. Before you edited your post, there were 3 people who put 8 instead of 10.
