Remember Uncharted one? They are using the same method of development. Focus on the story and core gameplay first and working out the multiplayer and extra outrageous additions later. No one jumped for joy over Uncharted when it first came out  and it ended up being a sleeper. Sony development tends to work that way. It doesn't need hype to be great. Everyone hypes Sony games because even if the gameplay style might be similar to another game, they always change  it up with the attitude, tone and feeling of the worlds you're walking through and the tasks which you will undertake.

Not everything can turn out hyped like Sunset Overdrive within the game community. Did you know how much it took for that game to be created? Twenty years of working with Sony is being put into that one game. This game is a new project from a rising team working in tandem with Sony Santamonica, who actually has a chance to forever live in the halls of Sony. Insomniac was close but no cigar. Sony believes in these guys so give it time if you can.

 

 

I have not written this game off yet but I am still waiting to see something from it.


Thats fine. As I said though, much like Uncharted it just might turn out to be a bare bones shooter that shows some promise but leaves much to work on for the next game. Sony's development style builds up slowly at the beginning of the generation if last generation left any indicator of their level of creativity. This is the first game from Ready and Dawn in in tandem with SSM. They have no body of work that has led to this game.

People are disappointed, but this game shot up 200 spots on Amazon, and 600 on UK, So, some are impressed.

i really really hope that he is talking about the delay!! would be awesome if this really came in 2014!!

so if we are to believe non-official sources

- more will be shown on 27th.
- unlike the 27th, RAD did not know about yesterday's clip being shown. It was a last minute decision by Sony? To tease before more media comes out next week?
- (this is from me). if we assume the above point is true, coupled together with the fact that we saw a screenshot several months ago (when the media got their hands on a small demo that we did not see) that looked straight out of this clip, then this footage is from that "old" build.

Nope.

I'm still almost certain that this was part of their E3 demo and was now either cut out or will be shown again at E3 where it will go on after this demo is cut off.

this game gets a big "meh" from me. The concept was great but the more I see the less impressed I am.

Well they better make a "jump" to a different section then. I mean, surely they are finally going to show half breed combat right? E3 would be the right place to do it..
As someone who hasn't played the game but makes a guess, i think these sections where you fight regular people are the equivalent of Uncharted's platforming. I dunno if i'm making myself clear..
So in that sense they can't just show this and be done with it, unless the game really is far away from release

I'd rather compare it to TLOU with the infected and human enemies, if I remember correctly ND only ever demoed normal human enemies before release as well.

Maybe RAD is trying to do the same and keep the half breed gameplay kind of a secret for now.
