Dynasty Warriors has a ton of games, and last gen (psp/ps3) they sell (WW) about 400k-600k each with the main ones 600k-850k. Only One Piece has done 1mil (ironcally) last gen. If Hyrule Warriors did under 500k like you think it depends on where.

Imo Under 250k would be very bad. 250k-350k would be a little better but not as good. 350k-500k seems most realistic and at the it should be good, especially with the limited editions in japan,they should make profits easily. But imo it'll do much better than 500k+.... We'll see soon enough!

I actually think that it'll sell worse in Japan because it's a Zelda game. Like Pirate Warriors did so well because One Piece is huge over there. Zelda isn't big there. But I think that it will have a much more positive effect here where Zelda is more popular. This would have sold so well on the Wii in its prime.

I think it'll be interesting if it actually does well enough to grow the Zelda fan base in Japan, because they are reacting to this game way more than I thought they would.

Yes i agree on one piece (being my personally favorite manga), its huge and by far! Anywayz I dont kno how Hyrule Warriors compares to DW games (all i played was One Piece but i dont think that makes me an expert on the franchise) but hearing people's opinions on other forums where they do play DW, they say this game is definitely shaping up much different than the original series! I think in the west it'll do good, japan is definitely more of a gamble.

It will be bigger than what some people think but smaller than what some other people expect.

I don't know if big but is likely to sell decently over there. Now, in the west... I highly doubt even the zelda brand makes this game successful here.

Maybe it could breakthrough. Being #1 on Amazon and in front of Mario Kart is good news for now. Even if it won't last, at least it brought hype somewhat. Am I wrong?
