Yeah, MS funds a lot of 3rd party projects.

It doesn't look bad, but it mostly looks like something you'd buy to tide yourself over for a different game.

My hype has died down a little for this game. Still excited for it, just not on the level that I was when game-play was first shown.

This guy is pretty good. He's pretty funny and does a good job representing SO and it's world.

Ya know, Insomniac sucks. I've been waiting for a good game from them for my ps3 since I fell in love with resistance: FoM 6yrs ago. And what have they come out with? Crap. Pure crap.

R2 was okay only bc of the coop (campaign was disappointingly terrible and boring). R&C:ToD was decent but not great. R3 was so poor I did what I rarely do and stopped playing it and just took it back. R&C: ACiT was subpar and/or boring. Oh, and then Fuse. Mega-bomb generic, uninteresting game.

I thought insomniac was just washed up, no good anymore, lost their magic; but that wasn't the case at all. They were just biding their time, prolonging the pain, for the day they could crap on our chest in releasing their first good game in 7yrs EXCLUSIVELY FOR XBOX ONE. Bastards!!!

SO does look pretty good. Becomes more interesting and intriguing with each new video. The atmosphere and humor are good and the combat looks pretty fun. Wish this was multiplat. I doubt I will be getting XBO, especially anytime soon, bc XB exclusives (typically) tend to not cater to my taste (just now been considering getting 360 bc only games of interest to me were Gears and Alan Wake).

In a way, I think MS deserves some props for believing in (let alone fully funding) an Insomniac game after so many years of average and even bad games, ESPECIALLY after their most recent game (Fuse) became one of the biggest bombs of the entire generation. That took some testicles.

It also seems Sony had some fault by being insistent on owning the IP in exchange for development funding.

Anyways, here's to hoping SO ends up terrible so I don't have to feel bad about not being able to play it. I kid!

I'm sure they showed this to Sony and other big publishers for funding and were just told to shut up or change something. MS let them create the game they've wanted to make for 20 years. So I don't think this was malicious towards the fans, just about making great games.
