Now we all know why Wii U is not enough POWER...

Does that count the tablet controller?

Damn Microsoft! Eating up all that power! #ConsolesThatTakeUpLessPowerThanMicrosoft'sHomeConsolesMasterRace

OP, this is a serious question ... Do you know how to read and interpret ?

Hi guys, I found a recent report on the consoles power consumption. Doesnt look like a big deal but this report further proves what i mentioned about the wii and wii u not reaching the maxium power consumption due that the tests are done with early port games.

THE WII U IS THE CURRENT CONSOLE THAT CONSUMES THE LEAST AMOUNT OF ENERGY

The Natural Resources Defense Council has provided a graph that shows that the Wii U uses the least amount of energy out of all the consoles that are currently available on the market. Interestingly, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 consume two to three times more energy than the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. You can compare console energy usage in the graph posted above.

As you can see the wii is consuming like 40 watts and not the 17 watts that was reported years ago. This makes sense cause the 17 watts reported were done by testing a gamecube port like zelda twilight princess. The early reported 33 watts for wii u was done testing games like mario bros u and some early port games

Wii and wii u are using a power supply with an efficiency of >=85% and obviously nintendo wasnt going to waste that efficiency with their cosnoles. You can see that by now they reported 37 watts for wii u, about a year and half they reported 33 watts so that means that some current games are getting a bit better squeezing the hardware, neverthless wii u should reach its peak between the 45 to 50 watts not just because iwata said some time ago that wii u could consume 45 watts as average, but also because you can reach this conclusion by talking into accoun the 85% or maybe 90% power5 efficiency and resting the power consumed by the usb and sd ports

here

Way to pick and chose incomplete graphs.  That is only if the Xbox One is left on 24 hours aday in Standby.  It consumes less, and thus gives off less heat that the PS4 according to the rest of the records on the same chart.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

Hmm.. My electric bill would propably go down a lot if i played on wii u instead of ps4. Surprised at how much power xbox one uses though. Even with tv stuff off it is still the most expensive system to use.
