Sony Starts Advertising PlayStation Now in Stores on Bravia TVs: Shows Availability in Fall 2014

by Giuseppe Nelva (10 minutes ago) 0

Sony has finally started advertising PlayStation Now officially on its Bravia TVs in stores, as discovered today by one of our readers that snapped a picture at his local Best Buy.

You can see the ad below, showing an anticipated service availability for this fall. Of course this doesn’t mean that the service won’t come in the summer on PS3 and PS4, as the ad is related only to the product on which it’s displayed.

One thing is for sure: Sony kept the PlayStation Now service under wraps so far, showing it off only at industry events that aren’t really followed by the general public and without giving it much time under the spotlight despite its potential. Now that ads are starting to pop up in our local stores, it’ll be interesting to see if the company will start a broader marketing campaign to raise awareness on its features.

Ditto. I prefer playing my PS3 games on my PS3.

If it allowed us to stream PS4 or Vita games, that would be very interesting.

Do you want Sony hardware and software sales to colapse by streaming PS4 and Vita games(people will just stream the games they want to play on PS4  for cheap instead of buying their hardware)? Sony is not stupid. They might stream PS4 and Vita games but after the end of their life. This is for those who want to portable PS3 across internet to have some fun for very cheap when needed and for PS4 backward compatiablity.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I wonder if this will help TV sales.

hundreds of titles will be ready at launch they say.

Never understood why this was a big deal. I doubt it will be popular.
