3DS lite with improved battery life would be nice. New chassis should look like the 3DS XL (instead of the DS-design), only smaller.

Yeah the regular 3DS battery is terrible.

If they were to make a 3DS Lite, Will they make a 3DS XL Lite/Lite XL as well? :P

I think will see at least a couple more 3DS/2DS models before the next console. The next one I’m expecting to be a 3ds Lite and the one after that a 3DSI (with twin circle pads).

Regular 3DS is the one i see least advertised. Even in the emails they send, they always mention the 2DS and 3DS XL more. So, a redesign could be likely.

Hopefully they will release a new version with dual analogues and improved battery life alongside Smash Bros. 3DS. Makes sense since the second analogue would be useful for aerials in competitive play (and borderline required unless you want to fast-fall with each down-air, considering the circle pad's design).

I think a 3DS Lite is a good idea. The original 3DS was designed poorly. The stylus in the back? TF?

I've been thinking about an introduction of a new 3DS model for awhile now. Something akin to the Lite with very good battery life and a simple, yet very portable design. Nintendo could launch this in Spring of next year in order to help the definite lagging sales that will happen after that holidays. Releasing it along side a new game release would also help.

Will they do it? Probably not.

I don't think they'd wait that long. If they announce it at E3 (which I think they will), it will be available this holiday.

I don't think they'd wait that long. If they announce it at E3 (which I think they will), it will be available 1 - 2 months later... together with the launch of SSB at the latest.

The 3DS XL model was announced 5 weeks before it was available, the 2DS model was announced 6 weeks before it was available.

3dsi with a non shitty camera! Go go go
