Forums - Microsoft - How 2 Dis Kinect XB1

I mean...

They can't take em out of boxes already on shelf, so are they going to take em out at the factory? Aren't they still in contract requring Kinect Manufacture? Are they just going to stockpile them/sell them seperatly? When they Kinectless SKU's come out, if their is truly a demand for it[XB1 w/o Kinect], why wouldn't they face supply issues on the Kinectless SKU?

They are still going to continue selling the kinect bundle for $499, but I guess they will just ship more $399 kinectless bundles to retailers now.

Maybe they will just produce less Kinects and stop putting them in half of the boxes?

Also I think the scientific term is "unkinecting"

Um.. The Xbox One w/Kinect is not going away. They will still sell those at $499. The reason the new Xbox One at $399 isn't out until next month is so they can get a new package together. They probably started building them a few weeks ago.

The Kinect WILL be also sold separate. So they could open ones already at the warehouse and repackage them into $399 version and the separate for sale Kinect.

I never said it was. I'm just wondering why, assuming latent demand, the Kinectless SKU wouldn't be supply constrained.
