Forums - Gaming - "Gamers are happier with Xbox 360 than PS3" ~ Yusuf Mehdi

Look at it this way.
In march 05, or whatever, MS launched the 360.
Around 5 years later, it introduced kinect.
2 years later, it made them both accessible for 199$ in a bundle.

In november 2013, MS launched what is basically that 199$ console for 499$

Consumers, especially the casuals who are most interested in kinect, are wondering why they should choose xb1 over 360 when the kinect functions they want are easily fulfilled by the cheaper "model".

Essentially, when Yusuf Medhi says that gamers are happier with 360 than ps3, what he's actually saying is that consumers are happier to purchase the 360 over the xb1... whereas the opposite is true with playstation consumers. I can only imagine that 360 might even start outselling xb1 at some point.
I've been saying for so long that ms could've gotten a lot more out of 360 and could've held off on xb1 launch.

Guys it is just one guys opinion. Doesn't mean it is 100% false either.

I haven't used my 360 this much since Halo 4 released. Playing Titanfall as well as taking advantage of the better free games being offered. Just saying as someone with an opposing opinion to the status quo, my 360 is getting used more frequently now then in a long time.

No.

Its Yusuf Mehdi, Head of Xbox Business Strategy and Marketing at Microsoft Corporation,'s opinion not just some guys opinion. He represents the company he works for an his insult has no ground.

Pretty sure Sony has slinged worse insults to MS in the last year. Seems you guys can dish it out but can't take it.

Humor me.

Microsoft is sounding like Sega right now.

The "this is how you share games on PS4" video, was a pretty petty shot at MS at the time, whether you guys think it was justified or not. Then the parity clause "chart" that Sony made showing how they have no requirements for indies where as MS did.

Sony started the corporate mud-slinging and its only fair MS can fire back.

Except Sony never mentioned Microsoft in any of those adverts. Even if it was in response, Microsoft wasn't forced to enact those policies. Conversely, this is a blantant potshot based on delusional rhetoric.
