No shit. Those are games. They always maintained gaming would be behind the wall. Only thing moved up are the entertainment/non-gaming apps. Same as PS4.

Final Fantasy XIV is a sub based MMO on PS4 and doesn't require PS+

Well I'll be damned. I just assumed that any game related online activities required the paywall subscription.

Well it's not the same as the PS4 then is it?

You can play F2P and MMO games on PS4 online without PS+? Pretty sure it requires the paywall as well.

No it doesn't require it.

So you can play an MMO online game without paying for the online gaming access? That doesn't make sense.

He's replied to what you asked.  He never said you can play an MMO without paying the monthly fee though.

*edit*

Nevermind.  Didn't realize you were still questioning PS+.

just found this on ESO: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/01/28/the-elder-scrolls-online-on-ps4-your-questions-answered/

Will playing online with The Elder Scrolls Online have a separate subscription compared to PlayStation Plus? — @NathanaelMoner
A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will pay—nothing more.
