If only she had dumped just five of those hours into MH Portable Third for PSP or PS3 instead! Then she would have earn the coveted "hardcore" label!

Reading the actual link, it's even worse than it sounds. Essentially they lumped PC, Mac, and consoles together in order to paint a picture of "digital demand rising" (which could be an explanation for cutting Nintendo consoles where digital ownership rates are going to be much lower). But of course digital demand's going to rise if you put PCs in the equation! Who even buys PC games on DVD in this day and age outside of folks obsessed with collectibles?

A sample size of 7900 is huge. More than enough to draw useful conclusions on a population of 300 million Americans.

Assuming you don't bias the sample by, say, arbitrarily disregarding huge swaths of your sample.
