In all seriousness, Halo 2 is the fan favorite in the series and the remake is going to sell tons. Just like how the GTAV remastered will sell tons and The Last of Us remastered will sell tons.

Also, having 4 of some of the best FPS games of all time in one, completely remade/remastered package is pretty awesome no matter how you look at it.

Repeating "Halo will outsell everything" or the like for the quadrillionth time won't make your argument magically right.

LBP3 doesn't need to sell Halo numbers because it appeals to a much different demographic. Because the X1 doesn't have a single game that appeals to the younger and creative audience, it's PS4's for the taking. If "most people prefer FPS in the USA" as you said, then they can buy Destiny in which the vast majority will buy the PS4 version because of exclusive content and white PS4 bundle. Destiny is the "true Halo".

Is that your magical agrument no matter what.. but but but but halo will in USA..... Ok US is less then 5% of world pop, what other then get out sold will halo do elsewhere.  HAlo dosent have much succes beyond the Elglish speaking world.  

Well said. I think that's even being overly optimistic about xb1 having a chance to catch up in the US. The things Microsoft would have to do would be unthinkably expensive to do so, and they show zero evidence of even wanting to try.

It appears to me that their plans for xb1 are irrevocably broken, and the purse strings are not being loosened to aid it. With the sales so absolutely pathetic in 2014 (outsold more than 3 to 1 globally!) a serious price cut and bundled game would be the minimum expected to help it before it's hopelessly niche. The $399 kinectless bundle is a tragic mistake. It needs to be $299 with a game and free year of XBLG, and $349 with kinect added to even have a heartbeat detectable. Microsoft doesn't play in this market to be a bit player and their financial models rely on mass adoption to have the slightest chance at profitability. Nintendo has been the master of efficiency in contrast.

the only issues I see with Halo 2 though is that most will pick it up for the nostalgia factor, but actually playing Halo 2 MP?  I believe it's only going to be a limited number.  Many other shooters nowadays have already surpassed those mechanics utilized, and albiet, Halo 2 MP was fun for it's time, we're talking about a game 2 console gens ago.  That's how I see the whole MCC collection.  Will be a great collection to have, no doubt.. but with all these new games coming out and other great shooters available, unless there's something new and refreshing injected into the MCC MP, realistically, the actual number of gamers who jump into those servers will be small. 

just to note.. I loved the Halo 2 MP at the time.. but it's merely a footnote in the games I've played since..  Even if I was to dive back in, it'll probably be on a limited basis.  Not the type to trek back thru old games too often when there's new stuff available.. you're talking about MCC being up against Sniper, Desinty, new COD, new BF4, Farcry, Evolve, and any other game that'll be out around the same time.  This is why I personally don't believe the MCC will have much of an impact on moving HW at all.  Most likely, those who pick it up are the ones who already has an X1.

Second week of X1 outselling PS4 in USA.

It is still behind the PS4 for June by 13k (according to VGC). And why you still believe VGC numbers is beyond me, especially even after adjustments, VGC is still off from NPD by 37% in May. NPD will show that the X1 is once again, overtracked on this site.

Doesn't matter, this is just the start.

My prediction considered the period AFTER the price cut, everybody talked bad to me about how I am wrong, but they forgot that my prediction started the week of the price cut, and I am dead right.
