In the US the system with the best games or price will win. In the rest of the world, PS4 will win for sure.

So even claiming Xb one didn't beat PS4 is an assumption lacking numerical evidence. There's circumstantial evidence of course with so many the sales rankings of the various online retailers showing PS4 consistently ahead of Xb one.

It's weird shadowing. The avatar Naoto Shirogane from Persona X Detective Naoto and "wet patch" aside, I thought she looked badass in this picture so I decided to make it my avatar.

We also have to recognise the fact that 1 week of the June NPD month is pre-Kinectless, for which Xb one sales were atrocious. So in some respects June is only a 4 week month for Xb one, even though it's officially 5. And PS4 may only win NPD because of that one week of pre-kinectless poor sales.

July is really the first NPD month where Kinectless and PS4 go fully head to head. We haven't had the first week of July NPD month yet, but it looks like, if VGC has been slightly undertracking Xb one since Kinectless, Xb one might sell a few hundred to a thousand more than PS4 during July; at least until TLOU:R week, which will only be a one week spike. I think July NPD will be Xb one's month unless all weeks a realy close and the TLOU:R one week boost puts PS4 slightly ahead.

Seems likely that Kinectless will make Xb one very competetive with PS4 over the long term in the USA. But that's about the sum total of the effect that Kinectless will have in the Xb one vs PS4 race. Even in the UK it seems Kinectless has only had a transitory effect vs PS4.


Where did you see VGC undertrack XBO, its still overtracked as usual as I Understand it and in July it probably will be lower than June. Still it looks that XBO it much better than I expected if it reach 150-160 k in June. Wait until NPD who will be out shortly for correct figures.

Still best thread in here with so many ppl ignoring actual data and history, kind of mistermediax stuff. Keep it up, I like it !

It might do better because of the $75 cash back MS is doing for july. Another desperate move I belive.

I'm always a bit baffled when people predict doom and gloom for a gaming console especially so early in the product cycle. Back in 2008/2009 the same thing was said about the ps3. Publishers and developers threatened to cut support because sales where that bad. And look what happend... it pretty much caught up to the 360

PS3 was 200$ more expensive (Blu Ray, Cell) and 1 or 1,5 year later launch. Be realistic, Xbox One is dead.

Dreamcast $199 with a huge head start and decent to great library would like a word. $299 PS2 crushed the total piss out of DC and I honestly wasn't super impressed with the PS2 launch titles. BC and DVD helped it though.

So 3 years = soon? man does that mean you could be looking at a 13 year old girl thinking.... Soon?

I would think btw once the X1 launches in Japan/China then the US numbers could come down a bit as MS splits its focus between even more regions making sure there is games which appeal to everyone on their system.
