Now that Microsoft have dropped Kinect, what does this tell us about April's NPD results? The message coming out of Microsoft is that they listened to consumers but I would say it's a little naive to consider that the real reason for this sea change. It's more likely to be because of how badly the XB1 did last month, so with that in mind, what do you now expect the gap to be in favour of the PS4 in April?

PS4 outsold Xbone in April close to 2:1 in NA. May will be even more lopsided in favor of the PS4.

It could be now simply because people will wait for the Kinectless XB1 in June.

Lol, the fact that anyone voted for 140k difference is just to funny.

Yeah, I only put that there to fill in the poll. I'm not expecting the gap to be that big. I've gone for 110k

Remember when Sony announced 7 million sold the day before NPD's and we all thought Microsoft beat them? When in reality it was a go for the throat type move. The same could be said about this move. They could have won NPD's and will use the lower price point to carry them through the summer.

It is foolish to think one way or the other.

Perhaps you are right, it 'could be' for the reason you mentioned, but i'd say 'it's more likely' to be for the reason I've suggested.
