If they thought it would be DOA then why would they ever release and plan to release in those countries? 


After seeing how X1 is doing on france, spain, germain etc at the current price and how much marketshare on last gen they saw that to launch on the current situation would make it DOA, so they restudied and will try with the new price point, perhaps will be a little better.

Yes... unless Kinect is not put on sale on those countries.

They can´t sell a thing that dosen´t work as advertised.

this is that rare occassion in which i agree with you 100%.

 

unless kinectless is the only sku availible in teir 2 countries the logic in the OP doesn't make sense.
