Some people would have bought X1 for titanfall, forza, Ryse etc. they might not necessarily have wanted the Kinect and wanted to pay the additional cost. But they didnt have a choice. And yes ofcourse they could have waited but that doesnt mean that some will be pissed.
This is common knowledge to me.
Also, people are early adopters for their own reasons. Hardcore gamers who are die hard Xbox fans, and have no interest in Kinect could possibly be feeling pissed. To say that you cant see a reason why anyone would be pissed is silly.

It's a bit arrogant, they could have responded better. Like congratulating MS for coming to the same conclusion on pricing as Sony and the gameing community did almost a year ago.
$499 was insane to bigin with, and althought I think it's a great move I would have cut the price and kept Kinect in the box. I can't see Xbox without Kinect, Xbox is Kinect at this point.

Games will be the deciding factor, exclusive ones. As yet, that hasn't been enough to get any victories for MS even with net pricing that is lower than PS4 (eg : XB1 @ $449 w/Titanfall = $390 console, free kinect, $60 game).
E3 should be interesting. I have a sneaking feeling that Microsoft doesn't have any surprises ready for 2014, but 2015 could start heating up. Whereas Sony played it pretty tight last E3.

I dont see the point in doing something like that. MS seemed pretty dedicated to Kinect. There was good reason to believe that they wouldnt have dropped Kinect.
And on the flip side of that, there was also good motivation as to why they should drop it.
I dont see either opinion as being unreasonable.
I love my X1 with Kinect if you feel like you got cheated then cry me a river. Sorry but it's the truth if $100 difference wasn't a big deal when you bought the console why is it a big deal now?
