Forums - Sales - Despite probably ending up as the lowest selling Nintendo handheld of all time, are you happy with the 3DS sales?

Who gives a dam it's still sold way more than vita everything nintendo does vgchartz twist into something negative

It's sold pretty good if you ask me, the market for handhelds is getting smaller and smaller every year so to even hit those numbers are great.

And everytime Nintendo is doing bad there is a need of bring Vita to discuss :P

OT: the sales are still pretty damn good for the times we are living. It guarantees at least one more gen for Nintendo handhelds.

Yep every time

The Vita shows just how bad a handheld can sell, it's association.

There is no way that the 3DS "is Nintendo's lowest selling of all time", unless Nintendo abandons it for a new portable before it's time. The 3DS, by all rights, should have a shelf-life at least as long as the DS and it's iterations did.

I am more than happy with the games than the sales... Not so much... Yes mobile is raping and handhelds are being affected but that doesn't make it any less disappointing... It sold well considering the circumstances but still wish it sold better! Oh well, if it makes it half way or more to the DS's lifetime numbers than I will be happy (give or take 5 million) but if not, I will be slightly disappointed in the sales but will continue to be impressed with the quality games

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

is doing fine it just looks bad compared to the DS, different times.

I have been happy with the system, far more than the DS so a bit of me is mystified by it selling a fraction of its predecessor. Of course I am one of those people who sees no value in phone and tablet games. I just hope it and Vita sell enough to keep bringing games to me.
