Wow, that's really interesting. The Wii is only just now crossing over PS2. No wonder people thought it would pass PS2. That's some incredible hardware legs on Sony's part. And the fact that PS3 didn't pass the original Xbox until it's 5th year and is about to sell almost twice as much lifetime just further proves how unpredictable these things can be.

Interesting. I think PS4 might have a very substantial Q4 based on Sony being able to set it up better (see its launch in comparison to Wii/PS2) and it still retaining good throughput as the year progresses.

BTW, my sig has my thread comparing similar time frame for just last and current gen.
