Forums - Gaming - Insominiac biting the feeding hand?

Well those comments coming out of Insomniac certainly can be read as a slap in Sony's face. But if they went to Sony with this vision and Sony was unresponsive, or demanded to own the IP, then perhaps Sony deserves a slap in the face for mistreating an independant studio that put some great exclusive games onto their last 2 consoles.

But I think this is as much a jab at EA regarding how they treated Insomniac with Fuse. I reckon Sunset overdrive is what Insomniac had in mind for EA, but EA wanted something Gears-ish and they winded up with a Fuse turd. And when EA dropped Insomniac for delivering a bomb they took the opportunity for more creative freedom and that happened to come from MS. And if MS threw some money at them to make it Xb one exclusive then Insomniac deserves it. They are a great studio and I want them to succeeded so they can bring their quirky gaming vision back to PS platforms at some point in the future.

If that was the intent them I could agree (altought for principle I wouldn't bad mouth a previous partner in public, probably not even in private).

Are people deliberately not reading the OP and just trying to guess from the title?

The biting part isn't about releasing exclusive game on MS is about bad mouthing Sony that was the previous partner... I know most people lack reading skills, but jizz it wasn't even a long OP for all this lazyness.

I don't see the bad mouthing. Without MS, this game wouldn't be alive. He said just that.

Read carefully and it can sound as Sony isn't a good partner so we change to MS.

About the game itself I haven't saw much from it since what I like from Insominiac is R&C.

SONY isn't a good partner... not as good as MS anyway. He does imply that. I see no problem with it. It's the truth. All of their previous IPs are SONY's. They wanted to keep this one. Why not let them have it?

Ok, just try on a job interview say how bad your previous company were and bad mouth the company and see if you get the job.

Have you saw my OP or my comment if I said Sony was a good partner? I don't work with them so I don't know, but this guy if infiring Sony is a bad partner is being disrespectfull to a company that fed him for 10 years.

I think that Insomniac wanted to move on to new IP's and Sony wanted them to keep making new Resistance or Ratchet & Clank games. Insomniac has suggested in interviews that no publisher other than Microsoft believed in their idea for Sunset Overdrive and were willing to give them creative control and ownership of the IP.

wrong, that guy who tweet this is embarrassment for insomniac. Ted has always say they continue to make exclusives for PS the latest example was the into the nexus. The reason Insomniac goes into M$  according to Ted, is because they doing so many years games for ps funs and is time to make for xbox  somenthing because they are 3d party now to approach that funs. But let me clear somenting about the 'wants' M$ and Sony. The company who has a tons of succesfull  cartounize games  on the platform like sly, ratchet, Jak, Lbp Crash the company the audience is more familiar with thoose games says NO to insomniac about sunsent?  I don't know much about xbox but this type of game is the first on M$ platform?

I belive  insomniac doing that:  First is the collaboration M$ and EA beacause the DRM politics( this is my opinion about  why EA gives exlusives games to M$) and second the boom FUSE make the insomniac in hard position and the Μ$ money save  them, it was there the right moment for insomniac, the same goes to the Tianfail, who  belives Sony want this on vita? and no on ps4? the DRM colladorations it was a clear messages to Sony ''we doing this together what you gone do about it'' the rest is history

i dont see the big deal sony probably didnt want to do as much as ms was willing to do. no where does he personally bash sony since he could also be referring to ea, and activision.

This is a possibility.

It's is sad when developers are traped in between other parties deals and have no say. Just hope the X1 players enjoy the game. My complaint here is just about the PR posture not the deal in itself.

And they delivered many games in return, more than any other first party studio. They expected SONY to grant them the IP rights. SONY didn't. The guy is stil butthurt over it and he said what he said.

I tough you said I was butthurt about the case... now that I understand the comment is because he may be butthurt over sony that is a possibility (not very professional any way), and I agree the partnership was good for Sony (don't know how good it was for Insominiac).

No, they're just saying that MS are good partners.

The PS5 Exists.
