Forums - Nintendo - Pokémon Omega "Ruby" & Alpha "Sapphire" are finally here.

As new Pokemon games are released, older generations have been remade and re-released along with them. Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green released for Game Boy Advance, while Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver found their way onto the Nintendo DS. Today, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company announced that the third generation of Pokemongames, Ruby and Sapphire, would be released on the Nintendo 3DS as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The games will be available worldwide this November.

The above teaser announces the games and shows off the games' box art.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire originally released in Japan in 2002 and elsewhere in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. It had a central theme of land versus water, as Team Magma and Team Aqua fought to increase the amount of land and the amount of water in the world, respectively. The two main legendaries also centered on this theme - the red land-creature Groudon and the aquatic Pokemon Kyogre. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will update the original games to the current Pokemon metagame, including most notably the physical/special attack split that was first introduced in Diamond and Pearl. An attack will now be physical or special depending on what kind of attack it is, instead of what type it is.

Around the Network

I think it's a bit too early.I'd prefere it if they took their time.Just 1 year after X & Y is too early in my opinion.
Then again....Ruby and Zaphire were short games.
