Why change your decision because sales aren't looking so good? I mean its not doing so bad that they're gonna cut it off like they did with the virtual boy.

I'm sorry...but just "now" you saw the sales report and you're worried? Either you live under a rock or you're just trolling us. Do what you like, buy what you like. If you're like many a gamer, you won't care about that kind of stuff. As long as a few games come out it will justify the purchase and you know that. That's why there is such a thing as a "system seller."

I do think it's funny that Mario Kart is what makes you join up...there are plenty of more exciting games offered in house by Nintendo.

You shouldn't give up. Never let sales of a console the determining factor in a purchase as it doesn't always reflect the quality of titles available. In my personal opinion I found the Gamecube to have a better exclusive library than the Wii and in sales it was slaughtered in comparison.

I am seriously thinking about jumping in the WiiU boat myself with Mario Kart 8.

There are already some games out there that got me interested (SM3DW and DKTF mainly) but this one is really likely to make me buy the system.
