Eeeeeh. It looks a lot better than it did last summer, definitely, but I just can't see any racing game still scoring that high, reviewers have become a lot harsher in the last couple years. If it scores in the high 70s to low 80s I'd say it has achieved its goal, everything above that would just be amazing. Also the missing weather feature at launch will probably hurt review scores.

Well LBP 3 will probably have a harder time because I don't think that Sumo Digital has yet have had an experience in developing a platformer, while Evolution's history is almost exclusively of developing racing games (very different from DC, but still within the same genre).

Of course anything can happen, but still DC has a chance of being PS4's highest rated exclusive, LBP 3 does not cause its not exclusive.

We'll see, I'm not too worried about that.

I think it will be the highest scoring PS4 exclusive (that is 80+). That's not particularly difficult to do.

LBP3 will probably score higher. I'm guessing 85+.

Yeah probably, that series is a critics darling, kinda funny how interest for this game is probably at almost zero around here, while there is a good chance that this will be the highest rated new PS exclusive (now that I think about it, possibly even highest rated new retail game on PS4 overall) in 2014.

I think all of us here might be underestimating how good Driveclub can be. It really looks like one of the best racing game ever, and I think it has chances of getting over 90+ on Metacritic.

Based on what?  No trolling but a serious question,  If you say it looks like one of best graphics racing games ever I can understand but I honestly don't know what are the feautures that make Driveclub one of the best racing games ever.

Amazon rankings for Driveclub around the world:

USA: #730 (Standard Edition)
France: #1292 (Standard Edition), #30 (Special Edition)
Canada: #1012 (Standard Edition)
Germany: #66 (Standard Edition)
UK: #84 (Standard Edition), #1863 (PS4 + DC bundle)
Italy: #16 (Special Edition)
Spain: #182 (Standard Edition), #14 (Special Edition)

So its doing pretty well in Europe, but poorly in North America. I think that's how it will be even after release. It will do well in Europe, but not in North America.

what happened to this game?

Yeah, that's why I said its unlikely to do well in NA. That's sad, I love racing games

i really dont care much. my favorite racing franchise is need for speed.  Criterion did a really good job with most wanted. but now they are no more. not sure if Need for Speed will ever return to its past glory of Underground days

I used to love NFS, Most Wanted (the original) probably being my favourite. But now I just don't care much, the series has been pretty bad lately (except for the new Most Wanted, ironically).

Currently my favourite racing franchise is MotorStorm, the entire series has been superb. That's part of the reason I'm so excited for Driveclub.
