can we jump over the buildings? (lol)

Please keep in mind, folks, that I think this game is a big deal, on an objective level. Just expressing my personal distaste for e-thug games that emphasize "coolness."

I fully expect this game to be a much bigger deal than Little Big Planet, despite the fact that I'm personally much more interested in LBP.  

Well I'm interested in the game but I am worried that 12 year olds will ruin the game. I don't enjoy playing online on xbox live for that very reason. The only time I played online for a long period of time was when I was playing Phantasy Star. It lacked many of the annoying jerks found in call of duty 2 which I suspect is because it was a jrpg.

You could always play the staright laced cop, complete with a mustache, no understanding of youth, and a desire to avoid anything "cool". Then you could put these big bad E-THUGS in their place. Take em down!!

sure, but it's the 12 year olds you gotta worry about, you don't wanna know what they say they do to each others butts when they trash-talk.

and also, YOU would know?  You have every game under the sun, but no xbox game of any sort, u gotta try it before you be a critic.... I have a reason to despise the wii.

Everyone is overlooking the most important aspect of this game and that is the following no elves and no swords. In other words it isn't in a medieval fantasy fought against mythological beasts, based on hollow grinding, and level based items. These days in the space that is damn near revolutionary. That almost assures this games success.

I know some people talk smack about Xbox live, but its usually ignorant in nature. First the player decides a community that describes their play style. Remarkably on the underground I haven't ran into a huge glut of immature players. No more then you find in any other online community. You run into one or two every couple hours. Perhaps you guys have identified yourselves as something your not. On the Underground I have had intelligent conversations that last for over an hour, and its relatively easy to get into a mature group.

I think people are blowing out the occasional idiot kid into a white water rapid ride of nonstop torment, and it just isn't. You run into one here or there. You put them on ignore and play on through. Honestly if you can't handle Xbox live then you probably can't handle online play period, and if thats the case just say so. Say you can't tolerate your fellow gamer or play with them.

Besides in a PVP game it doesn't matter who or your posse wail on. You probably will not have to talk to your victims. How can that effect your game play in any sense.

There is an MMO shooter called 'The Agency' (PS3 & PC) set for release in 08' that has also taken a different approach to the MMO scene. It focuses on the world of espionage.

I agree that these games stand out from the MMO crowd (which is currently overflowing with fantasy themed games). However, I'm not sure if difference alone is a guarantee for success. We are still not sure how well they will be recieved. Sales for these games will definetly be interesting. I think the potential strength of the MMO genre on consoles will be measured by these releases.

This game looks insane.

Now, the question is, which will be better received: APB or The Agency?
